Powder Testers

Electrolab
The tap density tester is ideal for measuring the tapped density of powders, granules, pellets, flakes and other substances. The instrument is suitable for 100ml and 250ml volumes and supports USP 1 (300 taps per min) and USP 2 (250 taps per min), ASTM test methods and user defined tests. Friction-free bearings ensure a free drop of the cylinder from the required height. At the end of the test, results like tapped density, compressibility index and hausner ratio are calculated and displayed. More information

The Scott Volumeter measures the bulk density of fine powders and similar products. The apparatus comes with a specially designed spatula that removes excess powder and prevents packing of powder. The bulk density tester complies with USP and ASTM specifications and is useful in calculating powder flow-ability index. More information

This particle size determinator is suitable for chemical, minerals, pharmaceuticals, foods, plastics and cosmetic materials. The apparatus determines particle size for dry powders from 20 micron up to 4750 micron. The results are available in linear, logarithmic or Rosin-Rammler format and saved for future retrieval direct to the computer. More information

Electrolab
The electromagnetic particle size determination apparatus is designed for up to 16 sieves, suitable for dry and wet sieving. A sieve analysis can be performed on any type of non-organic or organic granular materials including sands, crushed rock, clays, granite, feldspars, coal, soil, a wide range of manufactured powders, grain and seeds. The instrument offers tri-dimensional sifting motions with a programmable amplitude and sieving duration. More information
