Solaris BlackBox is a process control system (PCS) designed for cell culture and fermentation, integrating an extended range of in-and-out. BlackBox can control any benchtop single use stirred vessel as well as bags and glass reusables from different suppliers, providing maximum flexibility.

The system consists of a compact and modular PLC-based bench-top process control system and a control panel (HMI). There are mutiple configurations available for various process sensor outputs, thermoregulation and agitator connectivity. Also, a wide range of digital/analog sensor inputs is provided, including pH, dO2, level, foam and weight.
